Burgers were delicious! The crispy cucumber and the fresh salad were particularly noticeable, as well as the excellent taste. The fries were great too. Also absolutely ok in terms of price. Until next time!

Very tasty burgers and a small but cozy restaurant. The rush was great at the time, but the food was quick and the quality was also very good. An offer for vegetarians and a flexible choice of toppings made this a really good meal.

Really enjoyed our burgers. Some of the tastiest we’ve had in recent times, and we’ve definitely had quite a few. The only slight negative, for me, would be the cheese that came on the cheesy fries tasted and looked a bit cheap. All on all very nice though 👌 🍔

Very tasty burgers and very nice staff. We had ordered sweet potato fries and normal ones came, when the error was noticed we got new ones straight away and were allowed to keep the others. Other local can learn a thing or two about it. Definitely worth a recommendation and anyone who is in Rothenburg should stop by.

Best burger in Germany, maybe even Europe. I highly suggest calling to reserve a spot or you can order online reserve a table or take out. We went earlier and due to covid spots are limited, so we couldn’t get a table but you should be able to reserve day of just fine. My husband ordered take out and after 14 mins of walking back in the cold to the room the burger and fries were still nicely warm and not mushy.Two years in Germany and it took going to Rothenburg for us to find a great burger place. The sauce they use is very tasty. Our friends are also here and after my first bite I immediately messaged them to check this place out because Rothen-Burger is that awesome. We are impressed!

This restaurant is inside this town that is built in fort style castle thing? idk how to explain, but driving in here is not an option, but, there are parking lots right outside of this town. The restaurant is near the entrance of the city a pretty short walk to be honest. They are inside a basement area, and they have no A/C as most places in the country so if you come in the summer it will be a little warm. The staff is k, not the friendliest however they speak some English. This place is CASH ONLY so make sure to have those euros with you when you come here, there are plenty of ATMs a short walk inside the town just in case you forgot money. ROTHEN-BURGER - I got this burger and I added an egg. the brioche bun is amazing and the way they cook the meat is perfect. this was a pretty nice burger and the size was amazing. the price is a bit on the expensive side but it was definitely worth it. CHILLI CHEESE FRIES - here is where I wanna justify my rating on this place, the burgers do not come with fries, and I am ok with that, however, I ordered the chilli cheese fries, all I got was a porting of fries with the smallest bowl with some cheese and one jalapeño slice in there. My problem was not the spice level, but the size of the serving of sauce, it was a 7 dollar cheese fries, and the dip was so small it did not even cover half of the fries, not even just dipping the fries, as fries with mayo and catchup and half the price and I would get 2 dips, given they were the same size of the cheese it would be still larger than the cheese serving. The worse part is that they charge for condiments so once I realised how small the cheese dip was, I would have to pay to get any other dip...... it was just a rip off Also they charge for water but that is a common practice in the state it seems. Overall the burgers are amazing and I would eat them again, but the fries are not a great idea just because of the condiment situation, in my opinion.

We discovered this cute restaurant by chance. The burger was really world class, the best burger I've ever tasted. The veggie burger with the homemade sauce and the twister fries were served very well. The service was also very nice. Anytime again but with a reservation.

Super tasty burgers. We took the veggie burger and twista fries. The pattie is in no way inferior to real meat. Absolutely delicious. We were really very pleasantly surprised. The fries were served with majo and ketchup. The burger was really well filled and tasted very fresh. The burger bun was also delicious and easy to hold. Unfortunately, we witnessed an ugly argument between the landlord and two guests. They weren't even real guests. They complained that they had to provide their data due to Corona. The landlord behaved absolutely correctly and insisted on an entry. You can't blame him for anything. Otherwise great atmosphere. It's hard to get a place. Guests sometimes wait voluntarily until a flat is available. That speaks a lot for the good quality. Another highlight was the way the food was presented.

Delicious burgers and good selection (Angus Beef - great!) We didn't have to wait long for our meal and were immediately offered a seat. Service seems a bit short but friendly. The burgers were served on a kind of wooden tray with a paper pad. Looked good, but I would almost prefer a plate because firstly I cut up the paper and secondly I am not sure how hygienically such a wooden tray can be cleaned? Overall, however, it was a nice visit with good food! Thank you, we'd love to come back!

We just wanted to have a drink without testing the “Tasty Citizen”, so they asked us, “There's a café right there, you can have a drink there without eating ... These tables are reserved for customers who want to eat ", chased away .. I've never seen anything like that! I think it's a cheek! At the bottom of the answer it says they asked us in, that's not true! Otherwise we would have accepted this offer. They simply recommended another café to us ... The table we wanted to sit at was free and without a reservation sign ... And by the way, I immediately told the waiter my displeasure and informed him of this recession ... So, nothing anonymous ...

Delicious!! Simply a culinary delight. It's a shame that this place is too far away from us, otherwise we would have found a new local place. Keep it up!

Zero stars! Very bad customer service! The waiter was stressed out and very rude. He yelled at everyone! He has to attend a communication course as well as a customer care course! Never again a Rothenburg.

After we sat down and placed our order (drinks only) we were sent away again as we didn't want anything to eat. Hospitality looks different. * Update after reply from the owner *: Of course, we asked the waitress beforehand whether we could sit at this table. She disinfected the table and then asked us to sit down. At no time was there any mention of an existing reservation. When the order was placed, it was clearly stated that only orders for food and drink would be accepted because there are generally few places available. The current times are certainly not easy for innkeepers, but you have to expect a different approach to your guests. The assumption that you simply sat in a reserved seat without asking doesn't make it any better.

Food is ok but the service is appalling, from the owner shouting at the customers, the absolute desdain that the attendants treat the customers, to not allowing to pay with card below 20€. Place best avoided.

Since we have two children, we wanted to make a reservation in advance by phone, which was unfortunately not possible. We got there early and got a table without any problems, so no problem. Inside quite a small dining room, outside several tables on the street to the old town. There was no high chair. The service (presumably owner and wife) were extremely friendly and tried to please the guests. Drinks and food were brought out very quickly! My wife had the Classic Cheese Burger with wedges, I had the Double Rothen Burger with onion rings. Really very good taste. Fresh ingredients, tasty / spicy sauces. Since the kiddies were getting grouchy, we got up before I could go in to pay and the operation with the EC device was at the table - really great. Overall: would go again, as there was no possibility to reserve and no high chair a star deduction.

Nice little eatery in Rothenburg. We liked the fact that the restaurant had a basement look, but you could still look outside. The service was very friendly and the ordered burgers will be there in the foreseeable future. The quality of the burgers has to be said that they are a decent size and reasonable for the price. The side dishes served with it are also good.

The best burger place ever ... We drove by the second time adding around a 100 Km to our trip just to pass by this place. Really an amazing tast. I would greatly recommend the French burger. The menu is small but every burger is tasty. Small place big taste.

Excellent! The burger was really good and also the fries! The place is small and there’s only one staff to get your order and also for paying. The price was really fair and the beer was cold! 😃 I’d come back for sure. If you want to have a burger in Rothenburg ob der tauber, this is a good choice.

Great burgers, frites and onion rings (very hot, very hot). It was so nice of the management to seat us even though we did not have reservations. Because we we between reservations, they had our food out quickly and enough time to eat. Try the home-brewed Rothen Burger pils. Glad we stopped in. Definitely recommend.

Burger was great, like really really good. The atmosphere was a bit lacking due to bright white light and loud dance music. Chilli cheese fries were a big disappointment (no actual cheese, but some awful cheap cheese sauce) , so I think you're better off going for the sweet potato fries.

Absolutely delicious burger - I opted for the full Rothen-burger, my wife had the crispy chicken burger and we shared a curly fries. It defeated me though, it was enormous! Friendly service and they humoured my poor German with a smile. Highly recommended!

Service was rude and the burgers were okay-ish. Probably one of the Burger Houses I will avoid in the future. Plus, while there is cucumber on the burgers, it doesn't say anything about them on the menu.

It's OK, I guess. Had chilli cheese fries. They were French fries with cheese product and some jalapeño slices. Also Germans in general should stop putting slices cucumber on their burgers.
